I am thinking of giving a redemption arc to Draco Malfoy, starting from the second year but progressing very, very slowly, with him going back and forth with internal crises about himself. What do you think? Do you think it's worth it?

But when he became a Death Eater, we can see his view change slightly, but he didn't have the spine to do so. Obviously, leaving the Death Eaters won't be that easy since I'm pretty sure the Dark Lord will kill him without hesitation for leaving but it would also put his parents in jeopardy. It isn't until the end of the Battle of Hogwarts did he had a change of heart. Ironically, it was too late but it was still something. I think it would be a great opportunity for Draco Malfoy to have a change of heart. Especially since it fits into the mold of a child breaking from their parent's beliefs. It would give a great ending to his characterization.

@imoonlighthp At a young age, Malfoy was told that the dark lord was the greatest wizard to ever come across their time and how his blood purity views are worth more than anything in the world. As a child, who is constantly hearing this at his home, and hanging out with children from former death Eaters, it would be natural for him to think this is the right viewpoint and everything else be damned, and not to mention his parents would solidify his viewpoint. Obviously, his worldview is something we all detest! However, we can't really blame him for growing up with such believes he has been told time and time again. However, that's not something we can forgive him. He did and say unspeakable things to people before the Half Blood Prince.

@imoonlighthp Oh definitely, it will be worth it! It would complete a circle of his character! Finding out what he thought he was getting into was something he didn't know was dangerous and wanted out of it. Malfoy's character is pretty complex. He never started questioning his true intents and where he lies until we see his immense confliction in the Half Blood Prince. I think it will be interesting to see Draco start questioning things so young because as a child, we are told to believe things from our parents and trusted adults until we start making opinions and beliefs for ourselves. It would be awesome to see him question what was right and wrong from everything he thought were once the word of law, if that makes sense. Plus, it'll give us more sympathy for him later on in the book (like in Half Blood Prince) and want to genuinely see him escape a very toxic home he was in. And when I mean toxic, I mean the immense controlling viewpoints the Malfoys installed in Draco.

So, I have an honest question to ask you: Do you prefer to read a chapter of +/- 26,000 words or one of 15,000 words and another of 11,000 words?

          Please, answer me!

@junebluesfever and @MoonsBystars — Thank you, loves! You helped me a lot!

@imoonlighthp I would say the second option as well. Obviously, you don't want to cut the story mid way through the chapter because it throws off the build-up of the chapter, but you also don't want to stretch the chapter out so much that it feels like it's filler, when that is the furthest from the case. Cutting the chapter in half if the particular chapter will be more manageable for the readers to be able to read and enjoy it without accidentally skipping a page or a paragraph that could be essential to the plot. Plus it'll be easier for you, as the author to read and edit it.

In my opinion the second option

Ahhhh!!! I just saw in your profile that a Peter Parker book is in development. A book on one of my top favourite character's by my favourite writer is like cherry on top of chocolate cake. Y'know I don't know why, but I am just obsessed with Andrew Garfield's Peter Parker. It's just ugh, I don't know how to put in words but it's just plaguing my thoughts how much different tasm series could've been. Definitely won't change a thing about Gwen and Peter cause they are just ❤️ But there was definitely lot of potential, I mean Harry and Peters dynamics could've been more elaborate, Peter's grey era after Gwen , Peter's career because c'mon he could definitely do better than Daily Bugle photographer. I would love to see his dark side with little hint of softness just for his loved ones.
Ps. Sorry for the rant... All in all I am excited for your Peter Parker book . It doesn't matter if it's based on Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield or Tom Hollands Spiderman, I enjoyed every franchise and I am looking forward to your version.

@imoonlighthp Of course I love Iron dad. Like I can't tell you the no. of clips I've watched of Peter and Tony interaction. They have such a chaotic yet loving dynamic. Honestly the dad role really brings the best out of Tony. In fact in my favourite list, in both the Peter Parker books Tony, female lead and Peter have this super heartwarming familial relationship, it really warms my heart.

@SerenaJain — I'm completely in love with Spider man and I do love Andrew's spiderman, he is like, everything! His story is just so sad and urgh, he is so powerful too!

My book, however, will be with Tom's spiderman because of Tony Stark (i do love irondad, do you?) and my OC and Peter will be so cute together! I wrote some things about them and ahhh, it's adorable! I can't wait to finish writing "unknown" to focus on this one with Peter!

I finally reviewed the entire first book, my loves, and officially uploaded the chapters here on the platform, and I have some information to share: The shortest chapter of this first book has 8,000 words and the longest chapter, more than 18,000.... So I ask you, is the wait being worth it?

SerenaJain

@imoonlighthp  I MISSED YOU TOOO!
And you are one of the sweetest person I know. And of course you are my favourite writer ( this shouldn't come as a surprise okay). I think Unknown is the only book, and you are the only writer I've interacted a lot with. Gosh I remember how expressed my feelings about the chapter in lengthy comments and you'd always reply. Unknown is the only book that made me write that much, as I am too lazy to comment most of the time.
And I wish the same for you as well! I hope you achieve everything you've ever desired. You are such a wonderful ball of sunshine! You deserve the world!
            Adore you ✨❤️

@SerenaJain — HI GIRL, I MISSED YOU! Aww, thank you, you're so sweet! I'm blushing in knowing I'm your favourite writer (It's still crazy for me that someone likes my work, really!) Don't worry, Love, it will still take a while for "Unknown" to be ready, you will have time! And even if you can't read it right away, it's okay, without haste! And don't worry that you can't be present here in discussions, I understand you completely and wish you all the best in your life, all the success of the world because you deserve it! Love you! ❤️❤️

I did something... Have you ever heard about the Italian Renaissance? Well, I was taking a class about it, and let's just say I had some ideas...

MoonsBystars

@imoonlighthp Ah! I can't wait to see how much of the Italian Renaissance you've referenced in your book! And my love, I will always wait for your book! No matter how long it takes because a good book is worth waiting for, and you, my love, are worth waiting for a million years! Love you so much dear ❤️

@MoonsBystars — And you're right, you know? This year I'm managing to put all my old and new ideas for "Unknown" on paper, and even though it's taking a while, I'm so happy with the way it's turning out!

Some of my ideas are a little crazy, but they make sense, you know? This one about the Italian Renaissance is one of the craziest ones I've written, but it makes sense in the end haha!

I promise that I'm trying to write as quickly as possible to publish soon, and it warms my heart to know that you're here waiting for me!

            Love you ❤️

Today I realized that I resemble two great writers, Eça de Queiroz because he described the scenes in his books in great details and used many adjectives, and I love describing and using a lot of adjectives, and Machado de Assis, who, when he wrote important works, it took him almost ten years between the books to publish... I don't even need to explain the last one, right?

imoonlighthp

@MoonsBystars You're the best, do you know that? Your words always make my heart happy and warm! Love you, Love ❤️

@imoonlighthp Ah, yes, I remember reading the first prologue of your book. I can still remember the scene where Hagrid carried Tori over his shoulder because the streets were flooding from the heavy thunderstorm. It always warms my heart that you strongly detail your books, and I absolutely love that because it gives me courage to do that to my own book because it reminds me that no detail is unimportant because it creates an image. Every time I read your book, it's like a movie in my with every detail you pour into your books. You are truly a fantastic writer, and if you were to ever publish a book of your own, I would definitely buy it! You are an amazing, fantastic and visionary writer, darling. Don't ever stop writing for yourself! ♥️

I was listening to Taylor's new album, and I came up with a new idea for my book and my loves, it seems like everything fell into place, like I finally found the missing piece! Yeah Taylor, looks like I'm a mastermind too... Thanks mom, you enlightened me with your songs.

MoonsBystars

@imoonlighthp A good song is all you need to set the mood for your books because they can bring everything together. And which songs help bring them all together? And for which book is it for? Is it for the Harry Potter book or the other books under development, and if it's for the Harry Potter book, which book?

Guys, help me with an impasse... Not one, two! Firstly, choose a number from 1 to 15, secondly, do you think that dear Harry Potter would accept being friends with a Slytherin easily and without creating problems just because Tori wants to be friends with that Slytherin? Help me, I'm almost tearing my hair out trying to solve these two problems of mine!

imoonlighthp

@MoonsBystars My love, I've been so busy with school, I'm soo sorry it took me so long to answer you back! I'm doing fine this time of my life, taking some vitamins my body was lacking (yay), doing my best in school and writing on the weekends (when I feel like it), and honestly, I'm so happy! I did really great in my last exams, not enough to get into college, but I'm feeling this year is the year! My summer holidays are quite different, mine are just in December haha, but I have got three weeks in July, my winter break, and I'm dying for it to arrive! What about you, my love, what are you up to? Hope you're having the best year!

It's so hard to write dual POV in a third-person narration, especially if the POV is at the same time! And it gets worse when the dual POV turns into five POVS at the same time! Holy shit, what was I thinking when I decided doing it?

MoonsBystars

@imoonlighthp love, your brain has no bound. Five POVs in one chapter!!! It sounds blissful and yet a nightmare to write!!
Reply

imoonlighthp

@junebluesfever Yeah, I do that too, but I always end up drifting to other povs and the next thing I know, chaos is unleashed hahaha!

When I'm writing a fight I mainly focus on my main OC. I do include my other oc bit my main oc is my focus since the series focuses on her the most. Writing action sequences is pretty hard and annoying
