Today is day 691 since I lost my girlfriend. I know I normally only update every 100 days but I missing her pretty hard today so this had to be let off my chest. I went to my first party since getting sober without her. It was a small Halloween party. There was alcohol of course. I drank water and coke the whole time. If she were with me I know she’d be proud of me.  I got in my first relationship for the first time since losing her. I never thought I’d fall in love again. But this person has gotten me through so much and it’s only been 8 months of being with them. I genuinely feel like I’m happy in a relationship with someone even tho it’s not her. Her 2 years is next month and I know it’ll be hard to push myself through but I know I have someone who understands how I feel about it. And it just makes me feel so good to be able to get through all of this. I know this is what she would’ve wanted for me.
