@nashedron No probs man, I've had a little bit of a read of Luck and Death at the edge; definitely intrigued, you write really well man!

Yeah I found the idea of the singularity to be pretty interesting. When I first read about the singularity, it literally had me thinking about it for AGES. Just kept thinking of all the different possibilities, how it would affect me etc etc. The whole idea of it began to become less and less appealing the more I though about it though, which essentially lead me to begin writing Singularity.

And yeah, I look forward to you checking it out. You mentioned you're an editor, so any and all constructive feedback you might have no matter how small would be massively appreciated!

          	And thanks for fanning!

Hey there,

I saw that you recently became a fan -- thanks for that. I took a look at the preface to Singularity and it looks like we have some interests in common. I've been following Ray Kurzweil's career since the late 90s, as well as others working in robotics, nanotechnology, artificial intelligence, and related fields.

I just recently joined Wattpad and posted my novel Luck and Death at the Edge of the World, which was published earlier this year and which will be a featured work on Wattpad later this month. It's the first of a series that will include novels, but also shorter fiction. I've published one novelette in the series so far and there's another that *should* be released in early September if I can keep it on track.

Luck and Death incorporates some of the technologies discussed by Ray Kurzweil, Hans Moravec, K. Eric Drexler, and others working in or writing about advanced technologies, so I hope you'll check it out and let me know what you think.

I look forward to checking out Singularity.

Well I can safely say that I'm extremely disappointed in myself for not having completed the next sequence. I guess that sudden surge of motivation I had quickly faded away; being too distracted with so many other things I to do irl. Making time to do writing during this uni break has been much harder said than done.

With one week left, and very little time to work on the next sequence... I now vow to churn it out before my return to uni XD!

So yeah, if u've liked what I've written so far look forward to that.

          ...

In all seriousness though don't hold me to my word on that, coz its actually more likely that I WON'T get the next sequence finished. But still, pray for me or something XD

FINALLY UP AFTER NEARLY A YEARS HIATUS!

8th sequence is here. And expect 9 soon. Writing this out pretty much killed me mentally. I'm won't be touching singularity after I've done 9th sequence for maybe a week before I get back into it XD

isaacjwmay

Alright 8th sequence should be up soon tonight! If you were expecting something longer, that's because I've decided to split it into two sequences over the original one. It seemed natural, as really it had two distinct parts to it. So 9th sequence should hopefully be up late tomorrow.

And NO! Don't expect much action for a while. So sorry if that also disappoints you :)

isaacjwmay

Well finished editing all sequences! Will be little work done on 8th Sequence on Friday and Saturday as I'll be out places, but Sunday I'll smash it out and hopefully by the end of Monday or early Tuesday, it will finally be up!

@Nick357 Appreciate the fan bro! Glad to see theres someone else I'll be writing for!

Yeah I used the line from the trailer. It doesn't really bother me though as I don't think Singularity would ever be published anyway. I don't believe its of either a good enough quality to ever be published, nor do I believe there'd be enough interest for it to ever be published. I write this simply as a side thing for fun. So I feel free to use elements of other things I like. If by some miracle this mess were to ever get published, of course I'd edit those things out. But as it stands now, that's unlikely to ever happen, so they will remain.

And glad you like it. Hope you look more into it than that single line though. I've never actually played a Deus Ex game, although I had seen the trailer, and loved the line. The multi tiered design of City 24 was also inspired by a shot in the trailer. BUT thats where similarities end, any other similarity to Deus Ex is coincidental. If anything ideas and what not have mostly been inspired by Ghost in the shell and Blade runner, and I'd imagine Deus Ex is probably strongly inspired by Blade Runner, which is where further similarities may appear, coz I've made plenty of blade runner references in my story.

I'd also appreciate input from stuff like the ideas of the story? I'm editing to try make it a little easier to understand and what not. If you could give me your interpretation of events and characters that would srsly help me gauge what things I need to change etc etc
