because of the platform that I did have and maybe still do on this app, I wanted to log back on to share some resources in support of Palestinians during this time.
It is not my intention to post my personal opinions on the current crisis happening in Palestine or demonstrate performative activism, but after a couple of weeks of doing my own research, I have been able to formulate a proper response for where I am, and I believe that is what we should all be doing.
I think it’s important to take the time to listen and grasp the greater contexts, especially when it comes to a conflict as complicated as the one of Israel-Palestine.
If you live in or around a big city, chances are your local universities are holding teach-ins for Palestine that you can attend! if not, many organizations have online resources available to you as well.
it’s important to take time to understand the history behind why this genocide is currently taking place in order for you and everyone to offer the best support possible for those experiencing it. so please do your research reliably and thoroughly to avoid any misconceptions about the conflict between Palestine and Israel.

@-stellaric you are absolutely right, I appreciate you for calling me out on that wording and I apologize! the history between israel and palestine is long and for people who do not have any context into how or why the genocide of palestinian people started/why it’s still happening, it’s very easy to fall into misguidance, as we have been seeing all over the news as israel continues to spread fake propaganda. that’s why I wanted to share historical resources, so that people can have a better understanding because yes, its origins can be confusing if you are not looking in the right places for information. but thank you for your comment, that was not the right word choice for this post and I apologize.

@isaacnewts thank you for using your platform but i discourage calling the palestinian genocide at the hands of israel complicated. it's not complicated at all, but calling it that allows people to dismiss their ignorance. it is colonization, plain and simple

hi friends!! does anyone have tips for connecting with your original characters?? i am struggling working through certain moments with a character i'm writing and i'm worried that it is making them less relatable and interesting as a result, and i want to work on building them so i am more confident when writing them! what are some things you guys do to character build?
