Hello there.

I write on Wattpad because I hope that a few people will read my stories and give me honest feedback on them. What do you think of a chapter, or a plot line? Do you connect with a character? Did the story evoke any kind of strong reaction. Hate it, love it, any emotional feelings from what you read?
I assume you are here for the same reason and I would be glad to read a couple of your chapters and comment if you leave some comments about mine.
thanks ken

I write because I love stories. They bang around in my head and want out. Some people may call it lazy daydreaming, that is what it looks like much of the time, but It's a fun hobby for me.

My kids instigated the writing of an actual book. I have always wanted, in a small corner of my mind, to write a book. Life is so busy with right now kind of stuff. Stuff that seems important and feels like it needs to be done right now. So I never followed that dream.

If you are not a parent, you may not understand that your children have power over you. It’s hard to tell your kids to pursue their dreams ruthlessly and never give up, when you are not doing the same. They will call you on it, every time.

You tell your son "You can do anything even be a professional baseball player."

He says "I'm not good enough and it’s too hard."

You disagree and encourage him then he asks, "Is your job what you dreamed of?"

You respond "Not exactly."

Shabang! Next thing you know you are trying to figure out how to write a whole book. Maybe it's awful, maybe it's just OK, but maybe, just maybe it’s really, really good. Who knows?

What matters is that my kids know that it's important to try those dreams out. See if that crazy dream is not so crazy as you thought.

Follow those dreams! Happy writing!

So, I wanted to recognize the 300th commenter and the 10000th read. I'm just not sure who that was. I get notices on the votes but not the reads. So... if you were the 300th commenter 10000th...
