My darlings,
          
          When I started writing the next chapter of "Her Melting Point" (now posted https://www.wattpad.com/1437798717-her-melting-point-coming-home) I realised that it would be either the last or the penultimate one. There isn't much more to tell in Jackie's story, I feel like it's come to a smooth and satisfying conclusion. So, here's one last little cliffhanger - and our Bedroom Capybara and her Wolverine will be heading to their Happily Ever After!
          
          We will still see them in the fantasy version of their story; but my imagination is already galloping away into the next story - the Gothic mystery of Bran House!

Good day my lovelies,
          
          Just letting you know that I've had family visiting for the past two weeks; and thus, we had so few updates. But now I'm finally free! My house is quiet and empty, and everything is in its place, just as I like it. Can you tell that I'm autistic? LOL So, onwards with updates!

          I'll be posting my updates, thoughts, and plans here and on my IG (in the form of silly doodles). I'm hoping that'll make it easier and more fun for my readers to keep in touch with me. 
          
          So, as of right now, the plan is:
          
          ~ This morning I posted the penultimate chapter for A VILLAIN FOR CHRISTMAS.https://www.wattpad.com/1427833933-a-villain-for-christmas-the-holyoake-christmas We're almost done with Billie and Eric's story! It's been quite a rollercoaster: I had to put them aside for a year since it's a holiday story, and my Muse just wasn't in the mood for cinnamon and peppermint in Summer :) And then we returned to them, and it was such a joy to let my bookworm self go wild and have all these literary jokes and allusions rattle in poor Billie's mind!
          
          ~ The next step will be going back to HER MELTING POINT. We left Jackie and Alexander in the middle of their final drama. They are one step away from happily ever after (or at least from the resolution of the main conflicts of the story). I have a neat plan of linking all those story lines into one big ka-boom (Kolmakov style, of course). I estimate it'll be about five chapters or so. 
          
          ~ And once this is done, I'm so EXCITED to head into the new story...
          
          THE MYSTERIES OF BRAN HOUSE
          While looking something up for that one chapter in "A Villain for Christmas," I got into Gothic fiction and by now have consumed three Radcliffe novels, reread several Brontes, and dug up my childhood favourite E. T. A. Hoffmann. I know, I know, it's a disproportionate amount of research for a few sentences, but sometimes I think that writing is just my excuse to give into my polymathy urges :)
          
          I'm already in LOVE with the new protagonists! And I'll be posting the cover for this story on my IG tomorrow! Don't miss it!

          It might be mostly about roses and chocolates in the Western World, but who am I to disparage the notion of sappy romantic love? Haha! I'm a sappy romance writer!
