Interior Designer by day... Author and storyteller by night. I can't remember a time when I didn't have stories going on in my head. A few years ago, I started putting my stories on this platform, and the responses were way more than I expected. At the end of last year, I made the move to self-publish my Guardians, Inc. Series. So... Book 1, Reluctant Client, is out and slowly gaining ground. I would love to keep in touch with all my Wattpad friends who have supported me in the past! Please follow me on Instagram L.B.Brookes, to get a hold of me :) Also, If anyone wants me to read their stories for constructive comments, let me know :)

To all my fellow BC members, I am about to send my book, Reluctant Client, The Guardians, Inc. Series- Book One, to a self-publishing marketing group to get published... on several platforms. What I need are some reviews to add to some of my social feeds (they are helping me with starting some...) Cause as much as I love to write, I suck at promoting my books. :)
I'm asking all my followers to send some reviews of Reluctant Client. If you could send it as a personal message instead of an online message in the book, I would be most appreciative and happy to reciprocate the favor.
I hate asking... I really, really do :)
It makes me cringe and want to hide behind my desk... But I'm told it helps with promoting the book. So please, please, help a fellow writer out. Thanks

Yesterday I helped my sister get past a bad day. I left her cry it out, vent her frustrations and tell me her fears. I was the rock to the shifting sands surrounding her.

I did not relay any great words of wisdom. I did not have any secrets to share that would solve any of her puzzling conundrums. I did not, and could not take any of her burdens away to lighten her load.

All I could do was listen to her, express my heartfelt empathy for what she was going through, added some levity to some of her struggles, and remind her of things she already knew.

When the conversation ended, her voice became calm. I could feel the smile in her words spoken back to me. Her heart became stronger. And her resolve to shoulder life's burdens became manageable once more. She laughed and told me she loved me. She told me how much our conversation eased her troubles and made her feel better.

By giving of myself, with no ego, or judgment, I made a difference in someone's life. When I hung up my phone, I felt this incredible feeling.

Even as the tiredness of my body and mind settled on me, I still had a smile as I got ready for bed. I felt like a superhero.
          *******************************************************************************
It sounds dopey writing it now. But it is true.

I implore you to be a hero today for someone in your life. Heck, do it for a perfect stranger.

Pay it forward, my friend, and you will be surprised by the outcome.
          God Bless :)
