i’m thinking of a zahaedu fan-fiction, which takes place in a modern AU where they all have family and children to take care of, alongside a bit of memory here and there of the tower? it might end up to be a one-shot, an overly long one actually, praised that i could cope with it lol. 
          
          anyway, here’s a part of ‘the talk i had to had with an old clingy bastard’, which is simply aguero who is encouraging his father to faces his feelings and deal with them, but not in an appropriate way.

          i don’t get it, you decided to bury a love that was so deep just to have a bunch of children and a long-dead wife? come on, you’re no match for me but you’re better than that.” 
          
          he knows, his son knows, gosh what can eduan even do in this kind of situation? yeah, after his beloved wife was announced dead, he’d come out as gay and confronted all of his children that he’s in love with one of his old friends — who’s currently still madly in love with his future son in law’s mother? great, that’d be lovely to hear.

for the first and very last time, his enemy’s gazed toward him was no longer filled with neither hatred nor anger. it simply faded away, leaving places for a gentle bliss, the unwanted sympathy that he was always affraid of.
