[ his eyes flicker down to search the ground, making sure that nothing in her hands had fallen & rolled away, as most things did during such an inconvenient time. it was blurry, as always, but he couldn't make out anything else besides the grey concrete & asphalt road, which led matthew to believe that everything must've been okay. ] should've went with my contacts today, these lenses don't really do anything to help.

(..) let me take a look at it. i can try doing something for right now.

[ matthew clicks his tongue, fingers absentmindedly carding through alistair's hair at the thought of it being such a vibrant crimson again. though matthew was a little bit more elated than he should've been at the idea, he wasn't really sure whether or not it was a good one. was it really time for a change? or would all those memories ─ the ones that everyone's been trying to replace ─ come rushing back at first sight? ] maybe we should start off slow, ( . . . ) how do highlights sound?

[ one last kick zeroed in on the virtual training doll was all it took to send it floating into wisps of gold dust, while he snatched a towel off a rack, wiping away at the sweat trickling down his forehead. it was one of those days, where he couldn't rest without tossing &. turning under the sheets. alistair was always there to put him at ease, for which the vigilante was more than grateful, but sometimes it took more than just a few reassuring words to calm matthew; which is why he ventured out to t.r.u.s' training grounds the second everyone had fallen fast asleep. ] i just needed to blow off some steam, [ he then flashes them a smile, though the exhaustion was evident on his features. ] nothing too serious.
