A little background: my mother is Chinese, and my father is mostly Irish, with a little something extra everywhere, and I've found it difficult to find the balance between being too white and too Asian. There was only one Asian family in my little neighboorhood circle, and I had grown up knowing little about them, and because of the lack of diversity, I thought you had to be blond and Caucasian to be beautiful. When I got to middle school, Asian students made up over 50% of the population. Although it was great that we had diversity at school, I didn't feel like I fit in with that cultural group either. After a lot of soul (and family-tree) searching, I really started to embrace being biracial. How lucky am I that I get to feel connected to both my Chinese and Irish side? 

Stereotype here: A Jewish boy once called me a Nazi, for being the tiniest bit German. He frickin called me a NAZI, right to my face. I cried, and it took me a very long time to realize that I didn't have innocent blood on my hands.
I hope no one else EVER has to go through that
