What's up with the Greek myth of Medusa?  Talk about having a run of bad luck.  I mean, she swears her fealty to Athena, gets attacked by Poseidon, then gets cursed by Athena, turning her into a Gorgon.  And if that's not enough, Perseus beheads her and gives her severed head back to Athena to mount on her shield so she can turn her enemies to stone during battle.  Huh.  Brutal.

Hi, I'm Linda.  I, like so many others, have a story to tell.  For my recently completed trilogy, I found inspiration in ancient Greek Mythology.  There's something about it that speaks to me.  As far back as middle school, I remember taking an interest, drawing a picture of Zeus with a thunderbolt in one hand and an eagle in the other.

The myths strike me as powerful, spiteful, tragic, loving and downright zany. They spark my imagination, and sometimes my sense of humor. I can't help but read between the lines and wonder.

What if there was more to the Greek legends?
What if they were even more twisted?

My mythology trilogy won't be for everyone.  It's a gritty, fast-paced, dark and twisted, action-packed thriller with a reluctant (at first) kick-butt heroine.

Stories that inspire my writing include:  Lord of the Rings, Hunger Games, Harry Potter.  I also love thrillers:  David Baldacci, Vince Flynn, Rick Mofina, Jack Reacher novels,  Dan Brown, Steig Larsson.  And stories imbued with humor: Janet Evanovich and Don Tillman (The Rosie Project).
