/ there is a fascination with taking things apart and putting them back together again, seeing what lies inside the body and how these things can be used and altered to make something entirely new- something that comes as the product of grotesque innovation, yet performed with such precision that one may think it to be beautiful. agatha’s idea of a masterpiece or a creation is when she takes something that is seen as “broken” and “fixes” it to her idea of perfection. brokenness, especially in regards to imperium, is subjective, but oftentimes this brokenness is not external at all it’s what’s INSIDE or not even there at all. it’s disturbing to think of how far she took this obsession, and all of the girls that she has either had recruited or stolen are all considered her personal works- on display like art pieces in a museum except they are human or at least they once were. they are HER personal dolls that she controls but makes them believe that SHE is the one who saved them from the life they had before, who made them perfect and beautiful and everything they could want to be. agatha has a savior complex that extends past just “helping” someone, it’s also used as a tool to control people, to have someone so comfortably under your thumb, dangling from the strings you tied and they will stay there willingly because to them they have no strings- perhaps agatha has told them that the strings are the only thing that will keep them together and if they ever were to stray they would break apart. very disturbing

/ agatha’s power also comes from a sense of dependency, as a marionette you are trained to be dependent on agatha. you report everything seen to her, you listen to her, you let her do what she needs to do in order for you to be the best you you can be. the marionettes, like some of the other imperium chains, give their members a false sense of security and camaraderie. heavy on the false sense of security. she makes you think in your previous life you had been so terribly broken that she needed to fix you, and for those who happened to join? they percieved themselves as broken and in need of fixing. the reality is agatha is continuously breaking you and telling you i’ve put you back together again. she breaks things and puts it back, breaks it again, sees how it all plays out and sees what else she can make.
