            He⠀doesn't⠀seem⠀to⠀breathe⠀for⠀a⠀moment.⠀Feeling⠀the⠀intensity⠀push⠀down⠀on⠀him,⠀heat⠀making⠀his⠀skin⠀sweat⠀worse⠀than⠀after⠀a⠀jog.⠀His⠀ring⠀finger,⠀what's⠀left,⠀anyway,⠀twitches⠀on⠀impulse.⠀Maybe⠀the⠀sting⠀of⠀infection⠀brings⠀him⠀back,⠀the⠀reminder⠀of⠀the⠀life⠀or⠀death⠀situation⠀making⠀him⠀swallow,⠀mouth⠀impossibly⠀dry,⠀as⠀he⠀risks⠀it,⠀sounding⠀almost⠀like⠀he's⠀having⠀a⠀completely⠀rational⠀conversation,⠀in⠀this⠀asylum.

DARKNESS ENCASES RAGGEDY,   BLOODIED CLOTHING;   clinging to all the curves and bends of their body.   For the past couple of minutes,   they have been using the shadows to cover their movements,   following the man through dilapidated hallways and rooms.   At some point,   they must have startled the guy with their prescence,   considering he abandoned the quiet,   stealthy walk to a full on sprint.   (DAMN IT;   THEY JUST NOTICED THE OTHER GUY),   another patient in front of him,   stalking they guy with the camera.   this patient was quiet,   stuck to the walls and shadows.   except,   the moment the camera guy took off,   the other patient sprinted after him.
            
            NO— THIS WAS /THEIR/ WAY OUT.   THEY WOULD NOT HAVE HIM KILLED.   They picked up their pace,  their own footsteps muffled by their bare feet.   From afar,   they can still hear the two running and he follows,   turning down the hallway.   Through dark shadows,   he can see the camera guy,   figure illuminated by dim lights.   The other patient stands inbetween them;   just before it can lunge at the guy,   they grab the back of tattered clothing and slam it into the wall.   Effectively knocking them out.
            
            Heavy wheezing comes from them as they come out from the shadows,   looking at @upshore at the end of the hallway.   Hands up,   signalling,   I mean no harm.   "Y— you okay?"
