today, during international women’s day, do not forget the thousands of women suffering in palestine, congo, sudan, and around the world. it is hard to celebrate anything about being a woman at all when there are women who are being exploited, murdered, and stripped of their basic human rights. the fight for women across the world is never ending, and it is important to recognize that on a day like today.

good morning everyone! i’m posting to say that a user on twitter/x (@/alien_bunny_) has organized a global strike that will go on until the 25th of february (https://twitter.com/alien_bunny_/status/1749956333905064113). as always, this means to avoid school, work, shopping, and halt all business. if you are unable to miss work or school, you can organize walk-outs, continue contacting your reps, and physically show your support to palestine, sudan and congo by other means. if you can, pull any money from bank accounts and do not spend ANY unless you absolutely have to.
          
          this user pointed out the unfair responsibility put on people like motaz and bisan to organize strikes themselves, and has taken the initiative to organize one. i will be participating myself, and will be joining my fellow wp friends in not posting any regular content on here or tt. i encourage everyone to do the same, and to share this on your own mbs as well.

also, it might “just be football” to you, but the strategic use of the super bowl last night to distract and bomb rafah was no coincidence. the strategic pro-israeli ads, the zionists celebrities and football players/teams, and the out pouring of publicity made this happen for israel. do not delude yourself into thinking this wasn’t about money for the NFL, the US government and israel. they have all made money from this and the price is the death of millions of people.
          
          it is no regular person’s fault that this happened, especially those of us who have been posting and speaking doing what we can. if you watched the show, it’s not your personal fault for enjoying a game. no one could’ve known, and i was just as shocked to turn off my tv, open my phone and see the news. but it’s very important to recognize the timing, and recognize how easy it is for us to be distracted by such big events like this and reflect on how that could’ve happened. 
          
          “it’s freaking football” when really it’s the lives of many. to ask why no one can just enjoy football and claim there is no agenda is privileged, insane, and it is wildly inappropriate and tone deaf to not only say such a thing, but to prioritize your enjoyment and comfort over palestinians currently facing a genocide as well.

hey everyone, apologies for not being very active here as opposed to instagram, but i wanted to get on to join everyone is raising awareness on the bombings in rafah last night during the super bowl.
          
          rafah is currently the only safe zone in gaza, with 1.4+ million people crammed into the area, and was bombed by isr*el and the outcome has been catastrophic. this was an intentional and deliberate move given the majority of americans, and even the world, were tuned in to the game. 
          
          this is the final state of ethnic cleansing and it is happening before our very eyes. the forcible relocation of palestinians to rafah and the timing of the super bowl has allowed for it to happen. if you truly believe this wasn’t intentional then you need to reevaluate everything you know and have ever done.
          
          please read these posts and do not stop speaking and fighting on this. if you have not invested yourself in this, if you have not spoken, if you have not done anything, now is the time. now more than ever.

like i said in my last post, i compiled a list of age appropriate fcs for the pjo show. i broke them up by current age, and what ages they may have been during their content. i did not pick out fcs that are any older than 22 currently, as i took into account that charlie bushnell will be 20 this year, however these fcs all have content from their teens, and all the fcs on this list have content from their teen years that is recent, and applicable to the show. 
          
          please note that fcs with as asterisk * next to it MAY be appropriate to be grouped/paired with percy and annabeth due to the age they were during their content, though the majority of these fcs are appropriate for luke and the other older teen characters in the show, or just age appropriate to be a demi-god in general. it is up to you to be responsible and check ages to ensure it is appropriate compared to the ages of percy and annabeth.

idk who needs to hear this but it is not appropriate whatsoever to have anyone whose birth year starts with any variant of 1990 cast as an oc in a fic for the live action percy jackson show. the majority of the cast is well under 18, and charlie bushnell (who i think might be the oldest out of the younger cast) is only 19 (20 this year) but he filmed while being 18 and potentially younger. there is absolutely no reason to have someone who is well into their mid-20’s for these fics. even if that person had content from when they were a minor, it is not appropriate given their current age. all these characters are minors and it is not like some older tv shows that cast grown adults as teenagers— these teens ARE teens in this show. 
          
          i get it if you yourself are a teen doing this and you may not understand why this is so icky, but i’m seeing a lot of adults doing this and it’s honestly been a problem for a long time, especially since stranger things and IT got big on this app. i’ve seen so many people cast adults to be paired with the young kids in st and it, and it just blows my mind that it continues to be a problem these days when wattpad has grown so far in terms of casting appropriately. it’s appalling to see an adult fc in a fic where the character is played by a minor or young teen (and yes, i do consider 18 and 19 year olds as young teens) just to click on the profile of the author and see their age with a big ol’ 2 as the first number. we are too old to be doing this. 
          
          i went ahead and did the work of compiling a huge list of age appropriate face claims that i’ll post in a separate mb bc i’m tired of seeing this. please for the love of god just do better for these young people.
