This tiny owl has been my profile picture here for a long while now, and with my newfound Odyssey hyperfixation, it is CERTAINLY NOT ABOUT TO CHANGE!

The story behind ShadowKnight.
          
          I came up with the idea a long time ago, after reading the book Eragon by Christopher Paolini, just the first page of the first chapter, that’s what got me. 
          You see, it was the character Durza, he was a Shade, a demon-sorcerer with crimson eyes, who cast powerful spells, and struck fear into his henchmen as a group of elves tried to escape from him with a dragon egg. 
          But I loved the character, and that small part he played. I invented an origin story for such a creature, (which turned out to be not too far off from Paolini) and restored its humanity. The story built from there.
          Since then I’ve changed the coloring, switched the name from Shade to Sorcerer, because shades are Paolini’s, but I had to give a nod to him, cuz without him publishing his book, I wouldn’t have published mine.

Should I post my novel on Wattpad? 
          
          I’ve got a book I’ve been working on for a long time and I want to publish it. I’ve tried self publishing through amazon, and while it worked okay, I’ve rewritten the book to be more mature, and it’s just about ready to go. I’d post here chapter by chapter, over the next several weeks. Do you, my few followers and friends, think this is a good idea?
