I had a teacher which was dear to me in college ..... we exchanged what she called chain emails where we wrote whatever conversation we had in our mind or heart. Then we would get a reply and another topic to discuss  ..... this has stopped shortly after a year!! But the I'm still keeping these emails. 
          I have a girlfriend now, but I recorded our moments in a diary dedicated to her. And I'm planning to give this record to her in our first anniversary. 
          But I never tried to write about my life in general for a long period of time.

@Hawra21 Do it! I'm still writing a detailed diary 27 years later. It's a fantastic way of recording your life. I'm addicted :-)
