Life is unpredictable, I knew it, but yesterday, when my friend told me about her relative's demise, it hit hard.
At one moment, you're spending hours and hours talking to someone, and someday, you don't know how to reach them! How many of you still remember the first book you had read on this platform, or the first friend you made here? Do you remember what made you join this app? Hardly few of you might remember!
We never realize how fast our present turns into vague memories, how quickly life gets out of hold!
I recently stumbled upon one account here, which belonged to a person whom I used to talk almost daily, I read her books, commented silly things, and suddenly one day, she was no more active anywhere, her books stayed untouched, messages stayed unseen, her account fell almost dead. It has been more than a year.
I still visit that account whenever I get reminded of it, to check if I've been answered, to check if she had come active anytime. We take our present too much for granted, don't we?
Yet, there lies a hope to meet someone we had lost someday, because life is unpredictable, and I know it!
