            *sierra looked up at jason’s face then — as if scared,  terrified to look directly at him for more than a moment,  returned her attention immediately to his hand.  once more around with the gauze and she fastened it with a bandage clip.  she clung to his hand for a moment before dropping it.*      i think we will have to amputate.

[ he laughed at that,  though not entirely amused.  there was a layer of jealousy in his new found relationship with sierra,  how quickly she could heal himself,  and he,  who packed scar atop scar,  could barely handle getting a paper cut.  and what a curse that she was just /so/ good at suturing. ]
