hey ya'll! sorry for the inactivity, I may have sort of got sepsis for a hot (literally feverish) second so as you can imagine I haven't written much during or right after my lil trip up to A&E for that.
          
          Had IV for the first time in my life and the steroids they put in before the antibiotics literally made me feel like I was burning from the inside out- BUT I'm back, and I'll be writing smore soon <3

WRITING UPDATE:
          
          finally got round to re-organising and rebranding my old poetry anthology so I could publish it again!! deleted a couple, edited a few, added in a few new ones including one inspiring the new title- happy to have that lil inconsistent side project on the go.
          
          will be back to doing one-shots soon! and if I manage to catch up to my goal on The First Men I'll be releasing more than one a week but as it stands I'm still at 10 chapters and I don't think planning to write 50,000 words on the same deadline I have to do 3 essays and 3 exams was a wise ambition, so that might be a week-by-week and a 2023 submission, oop!

I only checked your story out bc im in math class and im bored plus i saw you won the fanfic contest (congrats!!! :] )but holy crap you’re good lol, ima check out more of your stories soooon

WRITING UPDATE
          
          So I've learnt a lot of random things today about travel and settling which I'm glad I decided to pause for a minute and look up because if I'd have written 20K words using my current travel time across Westeros I would have had a LOT of editing to do...
          
          My dumbass didn't consider how long it would take to travel from A to B until I took a moment to consider that it looked like a pretty chunky bit of land that was a little fraction of the 2000 miles S-N, and what I had been treating as 'something that's a speck on the horizon' was actually 300 miles away. Big brain moment.
          
          So big tweaks for chapters 3-6 on that lmao. I luckily under-estimated the amount of people a deer could feed, and was panicking about how I was gonna get enough deer to feed 200 people. Turns out, certain deer already can feed up to 100 people when processed, and big bucks can feed like 250 people. The more you know I guess, at least that's one less thing to fret about!

UPDATES
          
          ♤ Five chapters into The First Men now, and hoping to push that up to 10 so I can hit 20K words by 5th August and start releasing. I would love to get the whole thing out for the Wattys to submit in the fanfiction section but even if I don't I'm looking forward to finally having committed to and released a 50K+ book !
          
          ♤ Also have been inspired by all my prequel work and research to follow it up with The Long Night in 2023... title says it all, haven't got a lot on it yet due to my focus on the present book BUT what I can say is it will include a POV Night King.
          
          ♤ Currently amidst studying for deferred assessments in August before I'm free for my one year uni break so I might be a little less consistent on one-shots for the next two weeks, but I'll try and post one a week at least!

In writing an ASOIAF fanfiction that depicts the arrival of the first men I've become way too familiar with the geography of Westeros and the history of the first men and my god I now understand why some old maesters were like 'yeah I really doubt they got all the way up through westeros in one generation lol'. I was so confident I could do this great travel across the Arm of Dorne and into the fields of the Reach until I realised theres a big phat mountain range in the way of me and the kingswood. Time to do some big tweaking! :') 
          I have GoT drabbles to keep me sane between all of that though, so request away babs! <3

Sorry it’s been a while!
