            speaking of children's books, have you ever read that rather horrifying story about the old woman who gave red sweets to the "good" children and blue ones to the "bad" ones? the twist at the end was that both sweets were poisoned. the "good" children were taught to save their treats and share them with their families, so they never actually ate them, whereas the "bad" children gobbled theirs up immediately and ended up falling terribly ill. that was some insane psychological trauma i experienced when i was eight years old. 

that's lovely! i can tell she's very sweet. one of the women who's a regular at my library comes with her grandson almost every friday evening, and it is so adorable to see. she even brings little candies for everyone around, and gives me an extra one. 

i'm doing alright, i broke my finger, which they taped together and gave me little stickers to stick on the tape, and that's quite a fun thing to do.
