            * For a moment ,  Walter hesitated .  It wasn’t because he wasn’t fond of the idea of seeing their concealed face  ( he was VERY fond of it )  ,  but rather it was more that he knew they were more comfortable when concealed and hidden away ,  physically .             Quite literally ,  ay ?   * Walter gave a laugh as he took a brief pause while he shifted in his seat a little bit . *   Means a lot though ,  Houndie !  Glad you’re likin’ it .  Wrote it meself ,  actually !   * The man gave the strings another strum ,  adjusting the placement of his fingers just seconds later . *   Y’know ,  mate ,  if ya ever wanna learn guitar ,  I could teach ya !  This old girl could be put to some more use anyway .

            Walter's eyebrows furrowed ever so slightly ,  but he didn't let the true amount of confusion show upon his face .  He wasn't judging them by any means ,  but he was just ...  confused by the whole situation ,  really .
            Gosh ,  he didn't think he could ever judge them .
            Rising to his feet from where he had previously been crouched ,  Walter straightened as he stood upright ,  giving Bloodhound a light pat on the shoulder in an attempt to be comforting .   " Alright ,  mate  ---  take a breather ,  yeah ?  Been a long couple a' days for ya ,  'n' I'm sure this ain't helpin' any ...  Sounded personal . "   His gaze briefly fell right back down to the rock that this alleged white raven had been perched upon ,  but he swore he really hadn't seen a thing .   " Mind if I ask what he said ?  You ain't gotta tell me ,  but 'm just wonderin' . "

“     you  saw  nothing   ..   ?     ”      they  asked   ,    looking  back  to  walter  as  they  grip  onto  their  axe   .      “     there  was  a  raven   ..     a    —     a  white  raven   .     it  spoke  to  me   .     it  was  artúr   ..     ”     they  sound  almost  nervous   ,     voice  nearly  shaking   .

            “ I’m gonna be real honest with ya ,  mate :  I didn’t see or hear a bloody thing … ”   Walter looked down to where Bloodhound had tracked prints to ,  where they had  / spoken /  ,  seemingly to …  absolutely nothing .  At least ,  he didn’t see anything .   “ What ,  ah …  What were ya talkin’ to ? ”

            "Reckon I did say that, didn't I?" Flashing the hunter a small smile, Walter gave the cushion beside where he sat a couple of light pats, gesturing for them to take a seat down beside him. "Caught me at a good time; I was just tunin' this old girl up again! Been a while, but she ain't ever done me any wrong." He brushed his thumb down the strings, strumming it once just to ensure it sounded right. A light sigh left his lips at the noise, a quiet chuckle following suit. "A bloody beauty, ay?"

            "I like to think I play well. Others like it, so I reckon I'm not half bad! Used to play it often by the fire, but fell outta it for a while. No reason, just haven't played." Walter leaned back a little bit in the stool he sat upon, one arm still resting on the countertop while the other moved back down to rest on his kneecap. "Ah, not particularly, sorta just makin' conversation. Really only asked 'cause, ah..." A light shrug followed his words as he trailed off, metallic fingers tapping on his knee. "Maybe I could play it for ya sometime, if you'd like me to. Bit rusty 'cause it's been a while, so reckon I'm gonna have to touch up on my skills, ay?"

            "Oooh, I'm /alluring/, am I? First time I've ever been called that, lemme tell ya! I'll take it as a compliment," he responded, taking hold of the half-empty bottle in front of himself before bringing it up to take a swig of the alcohol within. Fusey loved a good coldie, but there was just something about drinking a beer with a mate or three that was far more pleasant than drinking one alone. Setting the bottle back down, he reached over and gave them an encouraging --- although gentle --- clap on the shoulder. "Alright, mate, no more butt talk. Take a moment to breathe, ay? I love hearin' that laugh a' yours, but I ain't lookin' to send ya into hyperventilation either!" Of course, his words were only light-hearted, although a part of him did mean it. He cared about their wellbeing and genuinely took it into consideration when it was necessary, and it felt necessary to give them a moment to breathe. "Say, have I ever told ya I can play guitar?"
