Now, I know I said 'Ring. Sister. Piano' was going to be the last book, but it turns out I have 90,000 words of material left, plus the ultimate ending still to write, so I guess there is going to be a book Five!
I think it's going to be called either 'Consummation' or 'Long Live the Queen' (if you're wondering about the Queen referred to, there are many candidates...) Consummation strikes me as being too long a word to fit on a book cover, so maybe it won't be that! But let me know if you have any preferences!
P.S. Does anyone want to exchange email addresses now we're losing the PM function? I wouldn't like to lose touch, and chatting in the comments isn't quite the same as having the option to chat privately. <3

@HeavensPearl ❤️❤️ Thank you, so glad you like the title! The question of which Queen is the ultimate will be very important in this coming book…

I finished a wonderful story today (and one that is very close to my heart by virtue of having my own first name in it! ❤️❤️)
‘Lucy in Avalon’ by @ella_rowan is a short, stand-alone sequel to her equally-awesome ‘Raven and Rue’. This one is suitable for younger readers (as well as adults), and it’s infused with such a magical sense of nostalgia for childhood adventures! It made me think of Arthur Ransome’s ‘Swallows and Amazons’, as well as my own (less exciting) childhood holidays!
Also, the Lucy of the title is a budding writer, and her adorable adventure stories are threaded through the narrative, reflecting how she’s feeling about all the new and exciting things happening to her in the main story!
I’m terrible at summarising the books I’ve enjoyed, but you should definitely check this one out - it’s so beautiful! ❤️

@obliviablack This is a highly idealised version! But I did learn to swim, row, and sail, and ride horses, so that's the real part.

Hooray! Some happy news (to replace my very sombre New Years post!):
The Great Ellini won the Fantasy category in the League of Littérateurs Awards! There were some amazing books in the shortlist, so I’m really happy! ❤️❤️❤️

Thanks so much to @TheAgelessAthenaeum for organising (and their judges for judging!)

Hello lovely people! Happy Christmas Eve - hope you have a good one! Just to say I’ll be pausing my read-for-reads for a couple of days over the holidays (in fact, I paused earlier than expected, because I’ve been feeling kind of depressed, and haven’t been able to make myself do anything to do with reading and writing! I think it’s just seasonal - I always get depressed around Christmas - I’ll hopefully be back to reading and posting again soon!) Anyway, lots of love to you xx

@AubreyWhitten Lol, Christmas is definitely bleh! I’ll try to focus on the new year, and not look back too much! ❤️❤️

Jack and Ellini finally get to talk about their feelings without anyone throwing punches (though there is minor crockery damage!)
This is another one of my favourite chapters - I’m so excited to be editing and posting this part of the story! ❤️❤️

Hi, fellow Bootcamp mentee. I read your interview on Nanowatt, and it was great. I added The Great Ellini to my reading list. Jack's predicament really intrigues me. :)

@LNRoberts1 Yay, thank you so much!! I really hope you like it. Let me know if there’s anything I can read for you - it would be fun to have a new reading partner! ❤️
