thoughts on a new haymitch fic.
          haymitch x Capital escort

its her first year being a Capital escort for the 51st games. It's his first year mentoring after just going through his own games a year prior.

Slowburn, with a one sided hate. (Haymitch dislikes our main girl while the main is slowly seeing how bad the capital is and how they manipulated her.)

Okay, I just finished Sunrise on the Reaping.

Wow. That was a rollercoaster. It's so well written, and tells Haymitche's story exactly how the fans wanted. They wanted details, Suzanne gave us details. They wanted the names of every single tribute in the 50th Games, Suzanne gave us the 48 names. It's everything I could have wanted. It answered every single question I had about Haymitche's games, and brought up new questions I hadn't even fathomed, and answered those as well. The end is utterly soul shattering, but that's what makes Haymitch who he is. What got me through this book was clinging to the memory of Haymitche's life in the future, the life he had after the Games were abolished, and after Katniss succeeded in leading the rebellion. It really broke me, but honestly, a book isn't a book if it doesn't take at least a little bit of your soul with its final pages.

100% would recommend. But only if you're mentally in a good place. Otherwise, it'll just send you on an even worse spiral.
