3 months ago I applied for my dream job: working in Parliament. I won’t say what the exact role was, because I don’t want to dox myself. It looked incredibly hopeful, I made it to the final round of interviews, I was recommended as the top candidate to the political party I was assigned to. But unfortunately, I’ve just found out I was unsuccessful. ;/ Which is heartbreaking. This is getting so bad, I am now considering pursuing a Master’s degree, just so I don’t sit idle at home.
          
          On top of that, yesterday I was out all day celebrating my brother-in-law getting his MBA. I drank about 8 different types of champagne and got home at 1am, lol. So I’m tired, I’m hanging, I’m cold AND I’m sad. No chapter today, y’all. This is also a chapter I need to perfect, so I’m gonna have to spend some more time with it. <33

I can’t believe I’m losing sleep over a fanfiction lmao.
          
          I woke up at midnight and couldn’t fall asleep again. My mind keeps running through the chapter I’m currently writing, because I want it to be utterly perfect. Now it’s 3:30am, and I decided to just get out of bed and park my ass infront of my laptop, because clearly sleep won’t be arriving any time soon. And I’m not the type of person to sacrifice my sleep FOR ANYTHING. Good lord.

          Bet y’all weren’t expecting that? ;D Consider this my way of making up for my disappearance—2 chapters in one week! And yeah, I know in my last author’s note I mentioned that this chapter is a bit more traumatic and that you’re allowed to skip it... But oh my gosh, I ADORE this chapter. I know that probably doesn't matter, because readers have a habit of loving chapters the author likes the least (cough–Judenjäger–cough). But I think this chapter has serious potential for appreciation. It just gives us an insight into Romi’s motivations. And that insight might necessary for you to understand the decisions she makes at a later stage.
          
          Anyway, if you do read it, PLEASE vote and comment!! I’m so glad I could give y’all a double-update. :) From next week onwards, I’ll try to resume the regular schedule. Love y'all heaps xxx

Beyond honoured to announce that today I was admitted as an Attorney to the High Court of South Africa! 
          Honestly, some goals start out as being so unattainable. It’s almost felt more of a distant dream. Even yesterday, I wasn’t 100% convinced I’d be admitted. I was sure the Judge would find some grounds to object on. And yet, 7 and a half years later, I made it!!! So unreal.
          
          That being said, I'm gonna get back to the important stuff right away, so expect a new chapter on Wednesday! <3

Okay, I know I haven’t updated in a minute, but I just need a little while to make sure my life doesn't derail. My admission date (when I'm sworn in as an attorney) is on June 6th. That’s like... so soon! lol. And the whole process is still stressing me out, there's still so much to do and I cannot rest until the Council approves my application. So. Writing under these circumstances is impossible. Also, this weekend we're housesitting for my partner’s parents bc they have a new kitten. A VERY cute, *demanding* kitten. <3  We also have a funeral to attend this weekend. I have another job interview today. There's just too much going on. So after my admission, after next week Friday, I will get back to writing, I promise!!! Thank you for all your patience! <3 xxxx

No chapter today, sadly :(
          
          It’s my partner’s birthday and we’re celebrating, so I'm just not going to finish the chapter in time. That being said, I also have no idea when I am going to post the next chapter, because right now I'm out of my ‘escapism’ mode and have finally acknowledged my responsibilities lol. I’m also stressing about job-hunting and my mind is so fixated on waiting for the outcome of the interviews I’ve done (refreshing my emails every 2.5 seconds). I just cannot write when my brain isn’t fully immersed in the Mon Monstre world.
