@pianolament She hesitated for only a brief moment before answering.” It’s definitely harder now, but I picked up two jobs and it almost equals what I was making at the diner. The hours aren’t great, but…” She shrugged.
@sunnyruler "Aw, that's a shame. A terrible shame." He frowned. "I hope I can be so bold to ask: Are you sure you're not struggling?"
@pianolament “Oh, it’s nothing really. Just, the diner shut down, as I’m sure you’ve noticed. It put me in a tough spot, but I’m alright.” She forced a bit brighter of a smile.” But enough about that.”

@sunnyruler "Oh..." John's expression soured. He didn't like the idea that her husband wasn't a nice man and was waiting for her to come back. Not one bit. "I'm not happy about what you've told me. About him... but anywho, I will help you in any way I can."

/ johnathan can play the piano and ukulele but his singing is a little off... he also has a sweet tooth and loves coffee. he enjoys reading and going for walks, too.
/ he has a fear of balloons popping unexpectedly. other noises like that don't really bother him, so he's unsure why balloons popping do.
It had been… Well, the redhead wasn’t really sure how long it had been since the nuclear war essentially destroyed the planet. All she knew was that the radiation levels had finally dropped to negligible levels. Aurinko had been born and raised inside the bunker. She knew nothing of the outside world, other than what she’d read. So she was very excited to be one of the first people out into the world. The woman looked around the heavily overgrown world around her. There were sparse trees, though the ones that were there were very tall. There were some smaller trees scattered around as well and tons of underbrush. The woman was grinning brightly… until she heard rustling in the bushes about ten yards from her. She looked at the bushes nervously, but her brows furrowed in confusion when she saw a few people step out. She thought this planet wasn’t survivable until now… But apparently some humans had come out earlier and had adapted/evolved to survive in the new world.
@pianolament Aurinko frowned.” If it wasn’t survivable, I wouldn’t be standing here right now.” She looked over all of them.” This is amazing… You’ve been living out here this whole time? Your ancestors… How did they survive the initial blast? What type of shelters do you have? Oh, I have so many questions.”
@sunnyruler / Thank you The other man spoke up and looked to the others, "really?" There was shocked looks all around. "Well, to test that theory..." Johnathan took the helmet off with ease, despite having to undo the mechanism that held it onto the suit. "John!" The lady said with shock, surprised that he'd believe they were safe so quickly. "I'm sure I'll be fine. If not, I'm blaming you." He pointed at the redhead jokingly.
@pianolament //of course! The redhead looked at them with a frown.” You’ve been able to survive in the radiation…” She shook her head to clear her thoughts.” Well, you don’t need them anymore. The radiation is at negligible levels now. It’s survivable.”

“Eek oh my gosh… hold up.” The blonde gasped before they’d spoken, eyeing up the stranger. “You took my coffee! This one is yours….”
@satinic- "No, no, it's alright." He smiled, and blew on the coffee before taking a sip. "You're right. That means we both have good taste."
@pianolament “Sorry for being so rude… people have been taking my coffee order lately and it’s really annoying.” They laughed a little awkwardly before reaching out to take their iced coffee after they’d handed over the other one. “At least we had pretty similar looking orders…”
@satinic- "You're right." The man in the blue suit admitted after looking at the coffee for a second. "My mistake. Er, here you go." Johnathan sets the coffee down as to not spill it and then reaches out for his own.
