y'all...I've actually been STRUGGLING to find content lately and I don't want to read anything long at all so... if know any shorter stories or oneshot books on any platforms (ao3, Wattpad, ffnet) please, PLEASE tell me cuz I have 0 content whatsoever. I've probably already read it but if it is on ao3 or fanfic.net I might not have. (open to any of my ships for all maturity levels)

@hiding_myself_ thanks for the recommendation! I think I might have already read some of her stories cuz I recognize that name but I'll go read the rest

@_Peachy_Morgan_ If you want to read Dramione, you can try reading cleotheo's stories in fanfiction.net. Her stories are sooo good and they're mostly one-shots and short stories.

So recently, there has been a small issue with plagiarism. I dealt with the issue firsthand, seeing as I was to one who reported it to the original author on fanfiction net, whose book that was copied (by sheer luck and perfect timing) I had been reading hours before it was copied.(Not naming any names) The author and I communicated about the person who had plagiarised not just one of their oneshots, but multiple. In fact, I'm pretty sure most of the book was plagiarised from what I read. (and I've read probably most of the Dramione oneshots on all platforms, so I recognised most of them) The person who copied has since had their book taken down, but I just wanted to take a minute to address the issue of plagiarism.

As an author who has had their work stolen and literally found it myself on ao3, I think that copying other people's work is an issue that is extremely undermined. It's spoken of very little, and usually, the problems are dealt with quietly. But it is a huge issue. Professionally, if you plagiarize someone's work you can actually be fined massive sums of money or even canceled.

So please, people, just don't copy someone else's work. That's just (pardon my Frech) completely fucking stupid and fucking ridiculous and you are always going to get caught sooner or later (hopefully sooner, seeing as anyone who uses someone else's work for success is an utter dickhead) so just don't do it, okay? It's that simple. If you are so insecure about your writing skills that you need to use someone else's work to get reads and votes, you should take a break from copying others and just read the stories so you can learn about writing. (Something that I have done myself because I have become a MUCH better writer in my time on Wattpad)

Anyway, that's my rant about plagiarism, have a good day/night, take care of yourself!

@pickled_strwberries that's great I was a bit skeptical about writing you this comment as her one shot was very into depth about the idea, I respect both of you as authors and they were one of the first people I read a dramione story from so I'm sorry for this inconvenience.

@Cookie_1154729 Thank you so much for telling me, but my work was actually inspired by hers, not the other way around! I actually put in my oneshot that it had the same idea as hers, but you probably just missed that. Still, thank you so much for telling me because it could have been a serious situation and I am glad someone on this site respects authors enough to inform them when something like this happens. (I would also encourage you to read the rest of emilynicole's works because they are all really good and I have read every single one of them.

I love how non-toxic the community of Wattpad is. (or at least the little bubble I'm in) because I was on Twitch the other day and I was commenting about something random and people were judging me about it and honestly it was kind of sad and toxic. However, if I had talked about that on Wattpad if anyone thought it was dumb they would just ignore it. Other people are just as weird as me and they would think it was funny or relatable. I wish all app communities were like Wattpad.
