AUGUST 9, 2018 - DERECHO SWEEPS THROUGH, KNOCKS OUT POWER ACROSS TOWN

Perfect Circle, MI - A town of seemingly interminable peace and well-lit nights has been left in the dark. A derecho had swept through the remote town, with hurricane-force winds damaging various trees, structures, and leaving almost all of the town and its surrounding areas without power, with attempts to restore power proving difficult for power companies like Wilburn-Diamond and VoltNow in the midst of heavy overcast and persisting  thunderstorms. This has left Perfect Circle residents troubled and desperate, with many flocking to a total of six in-town shelters where fortunately, there is still power; but those who were hit the hardest by the derecho were driven out of their homes, and sometimes, onto the streets.

Reports of strange, bulky figures said to be over 7 feet tall were received by the WLNS newsteam since last night. Their movements and sounds were described to be robotic, and residents have expressed fear of people going missing from these encounters. Rumors state these figures came from a family entertainment pizzeria in the town, though no official word has been given on the matter from any party.'
