“ if you have something to say .. just say it “ Elijah spoke eyes glued to the room Klaus had just gone into before turning to face his sister his face didn’t hold any emotion yet his eyes told a different story .. he was tired, tired of trying to reason with Klaus, tired of always being the one who tried so hard to always be there for him .. but that’s the job he’d given himself long ago and he wasn’t going to stop now.

I'm afraid you have the wrong person...

There were reasons for why she did things, though they may not have made much sense to others. Why come to New Orleans now? Maybe she had heard of the trouble that brewed within the street. What better time to come while they were all divided, bickering over the smallest things? She had heard about the trouble, of course. She hadn't been in Faerie for a while and whispers of the supernatural world did spread fairly quickly in the mortal realm. They had told her of the Hybrid King who thought he could rule with an iron fist. She had laughed, of course. He was still little more than a boy playing dress up. But she hadn't come for them. Not this time. "No better place to hide than in a town full of chaos and strife," she replied with an indifferent shrug. "Right under everyone's nose. You'd be amazed at how little people truly see when they are caught up in their own little world. That and a rumour, of course."

So she did remember. An interesting fact, for centuries had passed them both by and Niamh had made no attempt to rekindle many friendships with the family after what had happened. She had suspected they had forgotten her existence, which may not have been a bad thing. She should have never been there in the first place, then perhaps things would have ended differently. Though Evelyn had never been a subject of her ire of course. She had never been the one responsible for what had happened in the past. "Was that a question, or an answer?" the faerie asked, a half-amused smile tilting up the edges of her lips, a typical response from one of the fair folk. They had never been known for giving a straight answer unless asked directly. Even then, the fae had a way of twisting the words to suit them. Not quite a lie, but not the truth the others sought either. But she wouldn't go that extent, not this time, for she had no reason to. "You are correct though, whether your words be a question or an answer."

"That's because I never offered it to you," he replied bluntly. The fewer people who knew about him, the better. Even if it meant they got him confused with his boring doppelganger all the time. Another one obsessed with saving the world and the people in it, rather like the Original he had encountered. He never did understand that, never saw the point in trying to remain human when he was anything but. Why should he? Shaking the thoughts from his head, he found himself regarding the girl before him again. He supposed though there was no harm in it this time around. After all, she already knew he wasn't Stefan, or Silas or one of the countless others. "Kazimir Hovath," he finally replied.

It was something to that effect, though the difference was that Kazimir had taken no notice whatsoever and had continued along his path. Why should he worry about sparing a few humans? And the words of another vampire with a history far longer than his certainly had no place telling him what to do. He regarded the woman in front of him for a moment, simply making a mental judgment between her and Elijah. Her brother had been arrogant, indeed. But this one was different, an interesting surprise, considering they were related. She didn't seem anywhere near as uppity or self-important. She seemed to understand that she was a vampire and humans were nothing more than food. This one wasn't so bad. "You know him," he replied in response to her words, as if that answer was enough to inform that yes, that was exactly what he had done. "I don't think he's taken a look a mirror for a while. Once he does, he might be a little surprised to see what sort of reflection is staring back at him."
