and a feeling of blissful euphoria bloomed inside of her, as she finally accepted that it was done
it felt like it was the first breath she’d taken in years, she had done it; she broke the chains of doubt, regret, fear and despair that had been clutching her soul tightly
she was finally free
but there was something else she felt, something that she couldn’t describe
it was an ethereal feeling, the first word that came to her mind was love
but it felt like so much more than a simple word, it felt better than that
a feeling so pure, bright, passionate, yet calm, nostalgic and so warm and kind; these words couldn’t describe it, it was so much better than that

and so, as she watched the sun go down, she waved goodbye
to the past
to the “limits”
to the sadness
to the loneliness
to the searching
to the despair
to the doubts
she has the key now, and she will use it.
