@bnnuys * keep walking, lady * he took the appearance of a towering, haggard, scraggly looking man for the night, the shadows of the street doing the dirty work that the bass in his voice and his clothing couldn’t. although he had approached the woman, almost grabbed her actually, it took him all of two seconds up close and personal to realize she wasn’t his target. any girl with any sense would walk away at this time of night. had he been in a different body, he would’ve*

/ another excerpt from twitter.

eleven days isolation, eight without food, twenty shifts a day. a carcass lay in the corner of her flat approaching the end of rigor mortis, limbs bound. the noisy neighbor with liver disease, skin pale from death, jaundiced due to the deprivation of his meds. the day she killed him she hollowed him out, dissected him, put his liver in a jar on a shelf leveled with her line of sight, its own afflicted pedestal. after she was satisfied with her study, she found herself overrun with a feeling she did not recognize, her own sick version of guilt. for hours she sat in a corner, unable to identify what was happening, detaching from herself completely. couldn’t understand the difference between the thing who’d bend the knee at a gesture & the woman who had class the next morning, the one who promised the elderly man across the hall she’d get his groceries three nights ago. the days following were spent pacing the apartment in a daze, never keeping the same body for longer than two hours, physicality ever changing to accommodate her inability to discern what was herself. occasionally she’d dare to look in the mirror, staring until her features began to distort, until her mouth drooped to the point of sagging down her chin, until the whites of her eyes pooled down to the apples of her cheeks. switch face, start all over again. her cats, briefly forgotten, fed upon the open corpse before it began to decay. plants, unwatered for several weeks now, wilting and leaving crumpled brown leaves in every corner. the woman fleetingly undone by a morbid desire to learn.
