Hello, lovely people!

I've been doing a lot of thinking these past few weeks (I have my moments), and while working on my query letter, I've realized that it might not be a good idea to keep the first draft of 'In the Spirit of Letting Go' up (even though it breaks my heart a bit to say that). To tell you the truth, I have no idea what will come out of this querying process, but I know that I want to give it all I've got. One way or another, I will be sharing the edited version, and I'll definitely keep you guys posted. The story will remain on Wattpad until January 1, so if you're halfway through it, you still have time to read it. :)

I've absolutely loved reading the responses to this story, and I'm so grateful for all the love it has received. I'll still be posting stories, BUT I will be turning 'Astray' into a short story. I've been struggling with it for months now, and it suddenly hit me that it wasn't meant to be a lengthy novel. Some changes might be made to the existing chapters, but I'm still figuring it all out, so (again) I'll keep you posted!

Thank you for a wonderful year! <3

Hi Rebecca :D
Congratulations on being a TC! I'm following you as one of the three TC that I should follow. I picked you based on your bio.
"I would write about vampires that didn't sparkle and love stories that ended with fatal gunshots. "
That ^ was so dark. I love it!

@Ellen_Reese Hi! Hahah, I'm starting to realize just how morbid those stories sound x') Thanks for following!

Hey Rebecca! I was just wondering if you ever plan to republish In The Spirit Of Letting Go? I'm not in love with many books but it clutched my soul and now I can't let it go. There must be some other way I can get to read it again.

@reaweiger thank you and I hope it works out because I'd love to have a hard copy. That book spoke volumes and I fell so deeply in love with it! Can't wait to read it again!

@Ifrit17 Hi! First of all, thank you so much! That's so lovely of you to say :') I'm currently revising the book to prepare it for querying, as my biggest dream is to have it traditionally published. If that doesn't work out, I'll definitely find another way to share the story again!

Also I know you’re busy and all but when do you think the book club will be restarted? No hurry, just asking. ❤️

romanticqs

 It’s alright! Take your time❤️

I’ll have to check with my friend/co-admin, but neither of us has really had that much time these past few months. Maybe we’ll be able to get it started again, though! ❤️

Hey Rebecca!

Why has ‘In the spirit of letting go’ been taken down?

reaweiger

@untamedchaos- Thank you! ❤️ I’m currently revising the book with the help of a mentor, and like @AnnaQuin07 said, I don’t want the old draft to be visible once I start querying! :)

Ohh, well best of luck then❤️

@untamedchaos- She's looking at publishing it (traditionally, I think) and so she took it down in the hopes of improving her chances. Most publishers don't want to publish a project that is already available on the web

Are you writing something called “In the Art of Letting Go” or something like that? Because I saw that, and I saw that it was you who had written it, and then I couldn’t download the book.... I think it was a glitch?

SL-Jones

I'll check.. It's not visible on your profile, problem is it's still in my library (because I added it some time ago). Only first chapter's visible though. I'll remove it. Probably it's still in other people's libraries too. You'll perhaps want to talk to Wattpad admin people about that. Good luck with the traditional publishing! I believe you might stand a chance. :)

@SL-Jones It's still visible? I've removed it and everything... I decided to unpublish it a while back, and am now heavily revising it in hopes of eventually traditionally publishing it. Thank you! :)

@deMelo23 it is still visible. Why did you unpublish? Is it getting a proper publish? I really enjoyed it.

Hey!! I finally found you!!!! Uh... It might seem confusing. I've read a book of you'rs 'All that's left is hope' and I was like waiting for an update since forever without reading your note (I know, kinda stupid of me). And I read it today. Just letting you know. I just looooooooovvvveeeee that vampire fanfiction . Why don't you post it here on Wattpad???

Angel_of_death143

It's ok!! I hope you will update even if it's after two more years ........

@Angel_of_death143 Aww, hi! Thank you so much for reading it, and for looking me up here! Truth be told, I've gotten caught up in a few different projects, and I haven't worked on 'All That's Left is Hope' in two years. I feel really bad for leaving it unfinished, though </3

Why'd you delete In The Spirit Of Letting Go? I'm literally here having a panic attack and crying my eyes out

reaweiger

@Ifrit16 That’s really sweet of you to say! Thanks! :’)

@reaweiger well okay... It was my favorite book though.. hopefully it works out for you dear.

@Ifrit16 Aw, I'm really sorry! The reason I removed it is because I'm trying to pursue traditional publishing, and I don't want an unedited draft to exist while I do that. If that doesn't work out, I'll find another way to share the revised version <3

Hey Rebecca. I stopped by to say that after a lot of feedback from NBR, I trimmed my spotlighted chapter down from 2,000 words to 400 words. I tried to save the key elements, but my goal was to get readers into the present day storyline much quicker. If you're interested, I'd appreciate your thoughts on it. It's only 400 words, so it won't take long. Any feedback would help. Thanks.
