I just wanted to say that I no longer support or listen to twenty one pilots. The only reason I wanted make an announcement here is because Wattpad is the place I was able to connect with other fans about our enjoyment for the duo. However, I can no longer support them because of Tyler‘s actions towards the BLM movement, especially as a black woman. When asked by multiple fans to use his platform to spread awareness, he posted a picture of him wearing platform boots on Twitter as a ‘joke’. Then when asked to apologize he blamed it on his trauma and depression, but eventually he did apologize properly on his Christmas stream. But at this point, my awe for them disappeared (it was already very little bc I haven’t listened to them in while, and this was a last straw) because it proved how out of touch Tyler is. Since he even thought it was okay to make that joke in the first place. Don’t get me wrong I don’t regret the years that I did support them, I’d even go as far to say that they saved my life at one point (14-16) and now I’m 18. And they even inspired some of the works that I have here and wrote a long time ago. But, of course with all things it is important to move on.
But anyway I hope you guys are doing well, I hope you guys are safe. Black lives do matter and always will.
