That uneasiness/dread when you have to write an emotionally charged chapter next > < Or is it just me? Oof.

@rikaaraji468 Hehe, in my case, I just listen to music that matches the drama I imagine in my head—whether it’s a tune or a song. It helps me get into the mood and really show the emotion instead of telling it. I also like using symbolism to deepen the impact.✨

@rikaaraji468 I feel you. Sometimes I have to titrate writing emotionally difficult chapters... like in bio lab...write a little heavy stuff, then do something happy/write a chapter I know will bring me joy/do something light, then go back in. And repeat. Gotta keep the emotional pH stable lol.
Also, you mentioned chocolate cake earlier and now it’s literally all I can think about. I need chocolate cake in my life tomorrow.

@ProlixRemedy And that's just one emotionally difficult chapter? I've always had issues with not doing things chronologically. If I'm entering the sentimental glum phase of a story, I'm going to go through that shit until it's done. Kind of like method acting. I'm actually still putting off this specific chapter because it's the start of said phase.
First it was the biscuits, then the scones, and now chocolate cake ^ ^ I wonder what I'll have you craving next time, teehee. But yes, get the cake!

My two stories 'Swapped Fate' and 'To Charm A Knight' follow a kind of pattern. There will be phases filled with darkness, chaos, perhaps some creepy stuff and emotional instability that centre around the main fantasy plot. And then there will be phases of relaxation, light-hearted conversation, and feelgood moments that serve as both a break from the action and sprinkle in some characterisation. One might even wonder if one is reading the same book.

Some might call this inconsistent tone or fillers deviating from the main plot, but I'll be damned if I cannot find a way to inject happiness and humour into an otherwise (somewhat) depressing and serious story.

That said, with the intense way the fantasy plot of 'To Charm A Knight' has been unravelling, it's time for that *other* phase, which is technically a story arc to me. It won't take too long, I promise :)

@rikaaraji468 GIRL! I am reading too many books at once right now, and I'm about to start reading both of your series simultaneously. What are you doing to me?

I'm at that point in my writing where I'm pushing myself through it because I set a goal and I've got busy days ahead and I will be waaay behind if I don't accomplish it before the timer goes off. #teamnosleep
