allll Right. So it's been more than a year since I last updated Modern Love. I'm sorry to everyone who was following and enjoying this story that I haven't updated since then. However, I have begun writing again and I am planning on continuing this story. Modern Family is ending after this season, so I plan on catching up on the show and getting some more inspiration. I'm not gonna make any more promises concerning uploading dates. I'm not promising that there will be a new chapter out every week. But I am serious about continuing this. and eventually finishing it. So I'll hopefully release the newest chapter soon. Anyway, sorry again for this long hiatus.And thank you guys for reading this story so far

Ok, so I got some explaining to do.
          
          After I uploaded my last chapter, I had a loss in my family. Some who was very dear to me, died unexpectedly. After that I got really depressed and completely lost the drive and inspiration to write.
          
          Only recently have I got back to watching modern family. And honestly... It's like they want me to ship these two. Their relation in the show is so sweet and captivating. That just have to keep this little alternate universe of the story alive. I will honestly try to keep the story updated regularly. But I've just gotten back to writing, so be easy on me. I really hope this chapter I just finished its second half today and I'm somewhat satisfied. In the next chapter I really want to explore how Luke and Manny keep their relationship secret from their family.

@robertmaaslander I know exactly what you mean. I started writing stories but took a lengthy break to sort my life out. Now I'm having quite a bit of trouble getting back into it.
            
            Your upcoming chapters sound really good! I love it when characters are just trying to figure things out; it's not boring at all. You really get into what the characters are thinking and feeling, and the story is so much better for it. Can't wait to see how both boys handle the intricacies of their  newfound relationship.
            
            Thoroughly looking forward to part 3 of Jay's Night. Take as much time as you need, your writing is worth the wait. Have a great week! And fuck, those Scottish dancers were so hot.

Hey, thanks so much. Getting back to the story hasn't been easy. Unlike riding a bike, writing can be unlearned (to some extend). I've been watching a lot of modern family to get back in touch with the characters. Though is still find myself rewriting every paragraph. Plus I'm still deciding which direction I want to take the story in. Right now I'm working on some chapters that are fairly 'boring' where Luke and Manny figure out what it's like to be boyfriends. Dates, talking about feelings, exploring their sexuality and how to deal with their family at the same time. So don't expect TOO much drama in the upcoming chapters. I just feel like I really need to flesh out how these characters are in a relation before I get to the next big plot point. I have to say I'm rather busy at the moment so don't expect me to press out new chapters every other day. Though you can expect the last part of Jay's night to come out this Wednesday or Thursday.

@robertmaaslander I am so very sorry for your loss, Robert. I lost someone very dear to me a couple of years ago completely out of the blue so I understand what you're going through. I too became very depressed and pretty much shut everything out. I'm glad you're back to writing, you do it oh so well, but of course take your time. If you need anyone to talk to, I'm here for you mate. Wishing you the best on your healing journey.

New chapter is half way done! This one is gonna be a little less tense. But very awkward (especially for poor Luke). And even a little sexual . Also planning on having the other family members play bigger roles in this and upcoming chapters. 
          Expect it to come out this weekend.
          This may be the longest chapter yet
