the strongest sage with the weakest crest:
In this anime a man named Gaius is fighting a dragon and he kills it easily, but he is shown disappointed by his power. It is revealed that he has 3 of the 4 crests that he was born with (They are Creation, Power, and Rapid Firing), so he cannot get any stronger. He decides to reincarnate into the future, and he is reborn 5,000 years into the future. His new name is Mathias, and he has the crest of close combat, and in this time it is regarded as the weakest of the four crests. He decides to enroll into a royal school, and he realizes that magical knowledge has decreased massively. He meets fellow students Alma and Lurie, and enchants Alma's sword for them. Lurie starts to develops a crush on Mathias. At the entrance exams he defeats the instructor, and shows his advance combat skills, He is accepted into the academy with Alma and Lurie. The headmaster asks him to teach the other students/teachers his wordless casting. Its is revealed that wordless casting is rejected by the education system. The headmaster tells him to fight in a mock battle against the first academy (The school Mathias is in is the Second Academy) When he faces the three in the arena he sees that one of the three (named devils) is a demon in disguise. He kills it after revealing that he is a demon. He then realized that the reason of magical knowledge, and wordless casting is in decline has been caused by demons to make humanity weaker after he almost drove them to extinction in his previous life. As a reward he gets access to a dungeon. He is told that after he killed the demon some of the most powerful sorcerers vanished from the kingdom.
