Rebecca Simkin

With a lifelong love of works of fantasy (my first cats were named Pippin and Merry) and a creative bent to my nature, it seemed so natural that I would eventually want to write my own novels in the genre. 

I love writing novels. I've written two novels to date, and will be publishing the first one in 2024 under a different title and after extensive editing. Enjoy a draft version of my fantasy novels: Unsheathed and Ungloved, which are completely posted. They are both stand alone novels set in the same world with some of the same characters.

In addition to my writing sideline, I work as a non-profit sector fundraiser, planning galas and other special events, coordinating volunteers, writing press releases, direct mail letters and funding proposals. I volunteer on the administration of the Sunburst Awards for Canadian Literature of the Fantastic. (www.sunburstaward.org)
