i hope, as a society, we can teach our children to not face periods with embarrassment and shame. unfortunately, i bled heavily through my trousers today. i was faced with giggles and laughter from people in younger years, many of them were young girls. i was not embarrassed, just a bit annoyed at myself for not realising sooner. i was also concerned for how these teenagers were being raised. there is nothing wrong with periods. sometimes, people leak and bleed through their clothes. it is a natural thing which should not be laughed at. this stigma needs to end. periods are natural.

i honestly think 'peter' is my song all the lyrics relate back to how i felt when i was 14. last thing she told me was that she wanted to grow up and mature- taylor sings 'you said you were gonna grow up, then you were gonna come find me'. we were friends since we were two 'in closets like cedar preserved from when we were just kids, is it something I did?'
