to hold the weight of the world is a sacrifice. one
only ever knows death. it makes the beasts that
lure in the shadows seem normal after a while. and
perhaps that is the scariest part of all. soon enough
there is nowhere else to run, but to the gods and
monsters who prevail upon the innocent. odd,
seeing so as they are ill-natured. to find comfort in
such may be unimaginable. unless one has to look
into the face of evil. he has done so for most of his
life. though, he chooses to laugh at the beast
