i'm  definitely  not  a  role  model.  leave  that  to  the  captain  in  the  star  spangled  tights.  but  uh,  poor  tree.  i  guess.  it  can  sell  that  arrow  later  and  make  a  fortune.

trick  question.  i  wasn't  aiming.  just  let  one  fly  out  of sheer  stupidity.  sometimes  if  i  get  bored  enough  and  shoot  with  my  eyes  closed  hoping  i  still  got  it.

“ a moderate amount .” wanda responded with a slight smile , perhaps that was the difference between them. she rested her hip against the doorway, crossing her arms over her chest. it was strange having to dig his feelings out instead of just feeling them, but he was her. his mind was as protected from her powers as was hers. his question was heavy, wanda thought for a moment. 
            “yeah. of course. i think.” she started, “i mean, our lives haven’t been easy. this thing -“ she tapped her finger against the side of her head, “makes it even harder, so why shouldn’t you feel this - burden?” 

“would you say we’re cheerful instead?” he asked. it sounded rhethorical, but there was interest beneath it. brooding had been quite a reliable way to describe /him/ for most of his life. “i’m not sure,” warren admitted. usually, he would not share much with anyone– but she was him– in some way. some strange, twisted way. at least a version of him. perhaps there could be some leeway there. “do you ever feel like that? like everything is too heavy. and too overbearing, but at the same time… so distant.”
