The Doctor's companion should be a fifteen year old kid with hair that sticks up everywhere and these bulgy eyes that taken in everything he sees. A kid who absolutely loves science, so when the Doctor takes him to his first planet all he can do is just laugh hysterically as he experiences the greatest moment in his life. A kid whose dealing with these crazy thoughts in his head, but also these crazy things in real life. A kid with confusing emotions makes him question why he of all people gets such an amazing opportunity. A kid whose not sure if he's depressed or crazy because some moments he's the happiest kid in the world and others he can't even remember what happiness feels like. A kid that's not sure if he should be attracted to someone, and if he is how does he know because if he thinks about it he just can't remember. A kid that looks over the sky with the Doctor asking the man about life, and adventure. A kid that sees the Doctor as the great man to ever live, but the Doctor can't understand why. A kid that only wants to know everything, doesn't ask the Doctor to save anyone or go to anywhere specific making the Doctor that much more determined to impress the dorky little teenager. A kid that makes the Doctor wonder how anyone can just be so content with such a boring life, and it only makes the Doctor want to give him the most amazing adventures. A kid that through the sadness, the death, the confusion, grows to know so much more about the world. A kid who changes from bulgy eyes to eyes that have seen things no one else has. A kid who the Doctor watches grow into a man with this new found knowledge and maybe it's all a little bit scaring for the kid. A kid who is thankful for the chance to see the world in the way that he has, and a kid who makes the Doctor thankful for reminding him of the way he used to look at the world.
