SINCE    TURNING 41    . . .     david hasn't been feeling the same ever since   ;   almost as though his wife    still haunts his very dreams────watching everything he does   ..  even the town and their people act weird towards him.     The town of Huntingdale   has always had its   ..  weird charm.  From weird conspiracy theories   —   to the occasional disappearances,  which soon turned more frequent as of late.   That's what David had been investigating before he retired from the force..    wanting to understand /why/ the people of Huntingdale began to go missing, or why others completely forgot they exist.
            
            . . .    Don't forget the rumours that have circled the town for YEARS.   Children make stories that the town is HAUNTED  ..   where 'bad' people get dragged away for doing terrible things or they're chosen.   Up until now,    David feels as though he's next or his daughter is,  and that's something he'd never allow to happen, no matter what.

(or so he thinks.)    EVER SINCE THE PASSING OF HIS WIFE,    david's relationship with his daughter,   sophie,  has become thin   . . .   as david has a hard time being able to relate,  or communicate with his daughter────which stemmed from being too focused on work prior to his retirement,   which resulted in late nights and missed moments with sophie.          ✙
