I am a surveyor specialising in historic buildings (Tower of London, Hampton Court, St Pauls etc). My job requires me to write regular technical reports and investigative studies/expositions, seeking government funding.
These reports are often published amongst the respective memberships of organizations' such as: Historic Royal Palaces (HRP), English Heritage, The National Trust and SPAB (The Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings). I have a degree in surveying and in English (language and literature).

However, my real love is poetry and fiction.
I did have a collection of sonnets published in the 90's. Since then, work and family life has taken priority. I'm keen now to resurrect my ambition to be a published author/poet.

I do publish and perform poetry/flash fiction under the pseudonym "Shoreditchpoet", in and around that part of London. I have written lyrics for rap artists and penned a few short plays that various youth theatre groups perform in East London.

My father was a Tibetan Buddhist and I was brought up within that philosophy. As a youngster, my dad took me regularly (2 or 3 times a year), to the Buddhist monastery in Scotland - Samye Lying. This is why spiituality features heavily in my writing.
I am a keen antiviolent and antidrug activist working with groups in Chicago, New York and London - concentrating on helping families who have suffered because of gun, knife crime and gang culture.

I am currently working on 2 novels but enjoy writing flash fiction - my intention is to share those stories here.
