Guys, I've been procrastinating on Wattpad and I saw The Vampire's Pet pop up. And this time I actually clicked on the blurb to see what it was about and what the heck.
Why is it so popular??? Even for a cliche novel.
The blurb is underdeveloped and the ACTUAL BOOK that was PUBLISHED has a horrible blurb.
This is the published book blurb:

The world has been taken over by vampires. Humans have been enslaved and are now used as pets. Whether they are blood pets, maids, or just punching bags is all up to the vampires - their masters. Rose, a thin 18 year-old girl, had seen her family killed by the vampires. She was taken to the Pet Shop and was sold to a cruel and abusive vampire. Later on, her old master returned her to the shop. She became timid and had lived in fear since then. She hoped that no other vampires would buy her again. Lord Henry, a wealthy vampire, came to the shop looking for a new pet. All of Rose's hopes were gone when the new vampire decided to choose her. It seems like the odds were not in her favor. Maybe the content inside is good, but if the blurb - which only has to be a few sentences and summarises the whole book, which is ALREADY WRITTEN - is that bad, I would never even pick it up.
No hate to the author or any readers that loved it, but can someone tell me what's so amazing about it? Because this to me seems like a summary of Wattpad's problem with cliches.
@sky_awash_with_stars Agreed. The wattpad blurbs are so lengthy and soooo cliche I prefer something choppy, short, simple yet effective. Can I share some of mine?

Essentially he got this thing called a SQUIP, which is a super computer that tells you how to be 'cool' (it's kind of hard to explain if you haven't seen the play), and in my version he went into a coma for about a month, woke up, and can't remember anything to do with the SQUIP, including the two weeks before he heard of it
