Hello there.  My name is Katheryn, and I'm so glad you've come to my page to check me out!  I'm an aspiring novelist, but I also write short stories from time to time.  My main genre is fantasy, but I also like to write science fiction as well.  My two favourite writing things are action sequences and weaving real-world myths and legends into otherwise unrelated original stories.

As for what I do outside of writing, I have a bachelors degree in history with a focus on ancient and late antique Europe, and I have minors in English (with a focus on creative writing, of course) and art (with a focus on digital artwork).  I also have a masters degree in Medieval European history.  I don't read for fun as much as I'd like to anymore because life tends to get in the way.  Being an adult kind of sucks like that sometimes, but what can you do?  In my free time, though, I also like to play video games and Dungeons and Dragons.  When I can, I like to go hiking and crawl around historical places, both ruined and those still standing.  And all of these experiences come back to my writing.

So enjoy!  And please comment on what you like, what works and what doesn't.  But remember, if you don't have anything nice to say, at least keep it constructive.  I'll promise to do the same!
