@trckrd    probably people who don't want anyone trespassing on their property while they're not occupying it.   squatters,   for instance.   [ the rope finally snaps from the cutting and almost escapes her,   dropping him some three feet but she quickly tightens her grip and shifts her weight to prevent him from hitting the ground. ]   sorry,   sorry!   are you okay??

who ever puts traps in abandoned places!?  [he groans,  arms hanging above  (or,  below,  if it were better phrasing,)   his head as he dangled above,  body gradually making its rounds as he turned slowly in a floating circular motion in the air.]   i’ve never heard of that.  never.  because it’s never happened before in the history of traps.

[ she finds the other end of the rope,   tugging at it.   unsuccessful in her first effort,    she takes a hunter's knife from her bag and saws at the rope. ]   you have to watch where you're walking,   preston.   isn't that like one of the first rules of visiting abandoned places?

@occulthalo    no,   but i do have an extra bottle in my bag if you want it.   i left it in the freezer overnight,   so it should be halfway melted by now.
