 Yall, my novel didn't make the shortlist. 
          
          Rather, I wrote a complicated mystery thriller that didn't make the shortlist. Maybe it just wasn't authentic enough, maybe my insecurity as a writer seeped through, maybe it was just too far-fetched. I'd have liked wattpad to give me some feedback attached to a rejection letter, but I know they do not have the time for that. I would have been grateful to know why.
          
          Anyway, in the meantime I will still believe I wrote a decent novel. I won't make any alterations to it, even though I think maybe that's what it needs.
          
          I do not think for a second though any judge really lingdred their eyes on my work. Anyway, you're always welcome to read it.
          
          I will keep on writing. I have some fresh ideas in my mind, left to fermentation.

 Also, I guess I just wanted to rant. Even though you don't know me and I don't know you. I'm a random stranger on the internet. 
          
          But I think the world needs more kind people, more human connections and we all need to climb down from our imaginary thrones of "independence" and inexistent "perfection". 
          
          We need to get rid of our insecurity. We need to  let ourselves be imperfect and, yes, vulnerable.
          
          We need to be more grateful.
