injoonang

I’ve been searching for crazy in love for months, and I finally found it T-T. I knew like the whole plot and could honestly like tall the whole story, but I just couldn’t, for the life of me, remember the god damn name. And then I found it, there it was, the light at the end of the tunnel, CRAZY IN LIVE

hello hello i'm here againnn.

anyway, here's a story time. i was having the realization at how i really do grew up with kpop

i think i started to know about kpop at 2009, i supposed, when i was around five years old that time. i remember my brother sat me down in front of a computer and made me watch snsd's gee during that time. like, i don't even understand their language but i remember admiring them because they're so pretty you know? so i was like, what is this but my brother didn't say anything and just made me watch other groups too. that time, bigbang's fantastic baby, cnblue's loner and shinee's sherlock are really the big deal

when i think about it again, i've realized that i really do grow up with kpop. it's been like, what, 11 years since i was introduced to it and now i'm 16 and i'm still here adoring these korean people. i remember back then how everything is really about the music - no one cares bout views or wins or charting

i was reminded the time when my cousin and i watched snsd's oh! and i got a boy for the first time cause back then, you don't know when the time for the comeback or whatsoever - it just appeared on youtube and then you watch it. the fans back then was fun too cause all we do is just enjoy the songs and talk about it amongst us. even though there's this ugly fight between exols and armys back then at 2014, it's mostly because bts was kinda a hot thing at that year that's why it happened but it's all cool - unlike now, i have to say

that's why when the news about jonghyun and sulli came out, i was really affected by it. these are the people that i grew up to admire over time and to think that they're not here anymore.. it doesn't seem real, even until today

anyway, all i was saying that, being a veteran fan really allow you to see how kpop industry evolve to where it is now and it's such an experience, really

all of this came cause i watch some taemin's vids, sigh. i'm ending it here

@stfuhyuck it also seemed like more ppl knew the songs themselves back then since it wasn't as competitive. Just overall more likeable to me.
I stan quite a few groups that I refuse to claim the fandom of. I remember when everything was usually super calm, except for maybe sone and blackjacks, they were always feuding over nothing.

@kairimikio exactly! back then no one cares if that group didn't get a get a proper views or whatever, as long as the music is good then it's great. most songs from back there aren't really charting well anyway but they're still famous until now. it saddens me now too when i thought of how fans nowadays can't be like how it is back then

@stfuhyuck I got into kpop around the same time, 2009, and I was 14. I'm 25 now, so I know what you mean. Seeing how things change and progress over time really gets me sometimes. I remember when tvxq split, gd&top debuted and Shinee's Lucifer came out. I miss the standards back then. Everyone is so into streaming and charts, no one is really focusing on the music anymore. It's become a popularity race rather than appreciating talented ppl. Groups now have it easier chart wise and fan nowadays are way more toxic and competitive. That's why I will always say 2nd gen was the best.
