How are you, as a nonblack person, going to, not only, refer to black people as "the blacks" but then proceed to try and tell us what is and isn't blackface (while wearing it in a way) and telling us how to feel about a makeup brand basically not even trying to provide shades for people of darker skin? Sit down somewhere.

Racists talking about the Hades game designs are so funny because they'll go "the Greek gods should be white because they are from a mainly white religion" (I can't make this stuff up, but racists can) and, ignoring the obvious errors of logistics in that statement, even in the myth itself it says that the gods shift and change their form whenever, so the idea that they could look poc is too far fetched? Hmm.

sukibenders

"Why would they choose to not look Greek-" buddy, buddy hey, you do know that not all people from Greece look alike, right? And, during ancient times, that statement was probably even more apparent so

People really don't understand the full scale of the term "whitewashing" and it kind of shows. Like, on surface level, yes it is when you have an original poc character turned white and all. However, it can also be when, say, only part of the character's story is told while the other half is dismissed (eg. Roberto DaCosta and how media tends to erase his black heritage. They sometimes do the same for his Brazilian heritage as well, but it's largely happens more so with the former).

You know....Roblox used to be a fun community to escape to (I haven't played it in years but my friends still do), but now, the weirdos (mainly grown ass adults) have ruined it. Especially because isn't the game's primary audience 8-12? Why are you being freaky, at your big age, on this game? Go play Sims then!

Like I get enjoying certain media, even if you are no longer the primary audience, but with that should come in mind an understanding of, not only, having respectable boundaries as to not take away from the primary audience (eg. kids), but also learning to communicate with other adults in the fandom and make sure they know to keep it cute. I'm having vivid MLP fandom flashbacks that I should not have experienced at my young age

"Man or bear" bear bc at least it wouldn't come up to me and my godsister at a restaurant while we were getting drinks, I was a teenager and she was a kid, and tell me "you seem old enough to be a mom, so you're probably her mom." I have a baby face and look younger than I am, but even then, still, the encounter was weird and disturbing.

The "man or a bear" argument is really showing how, not only, most men don't understand why women are choosing the bear but also how they don't understand how even other men themselves would pick the bear! That on top of them pretending like they care about male victims, only bringing them up as a way to dispute the abuse that women suffered, then turn around to said male victims and tell them their abuse didn't happen. And they wonder why the bear is always picked over them!

Ngl, sometimes seeing people do the comparisons of MLK and MX to Xavier and Magneto gets really annoying because, not only, do people just scratch the surface of that analogy but they also fall for many tropes that have been debunked and were obviously made by certain people who didn't want to depict either of these real life men as people but rather symbols that they could change and shape when hanging it over the heads of people protesting against their oppressor.
