help-

i no joke just went to my sisters room to return a pair of socks that ended up in my room and said "Harry Potter has given Dobby a sock" then screamed as I left "Dobby is free!"

the funny part is when i walked in she was reading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets......

it’s weird. i forgot my account password for pottermore so i made a new one and it’s put me in gryffindor instead of ravenclaw like it did before.

i actually thinks it’s because i’m actually a gryffinclaw so my slight different answers put me in the other house. but it makes sense seeing as hermione is my fictional doppelgänger

so it turns out i have aphantasia…..

@cheyannelovesbooks id also thought id add that it could be why i struggle to picture even people i know in my mind. i can describe to you and tell you everything about that person's appearance but i can't actually see them in my mind. and the only images i have clear in my mind is hands when i think of words in sign language but that might be because it was my primary language and its a language to me not pictures. it also explains why im not a visual learner and am an auditory learner despite me being deaf in one ear

@cheyannelovesbooks it means when i read i can't picture things in my read unless i have a reference (e.g. i can only picture Hogwarts from Harry Potter cause I've watched the movie but couldn't before that). when i read i see the words and i feel as though i am the person that is narrating but i can't picture the room they are in or what they look like.
i actually thought it was normal but turns out im special. i discovered it because on pinterest i see the book's aesthetic but can't understand how other people could see that without reference. that's why i like to see what other people think of the books as i can't picture it myself.
side note: when i read a book from the point of view as a character i picture them as myself even if they're physical description is not the same at all. so especially characters who are woman of colour i fail to picture beause im not a WOC but once i've seen a picture of what other people think that person looks like that i can picture them.
people wonder why i enjoy reading when i cant picture things, but i do have the same emotions as the character which still means i get to live a thousand lives with books which is why i enjoy it so much

sorry for the long response im just telling you everything i know.

STORYTIMEEEEE
so i just had my last school musical this week and yesterday i was meant to be i two shows, the first one as a lead and the second one as a singing ensemble member....
but in my second last scene as the lead i sprained (possibly broke) my ankle and ended up going onstage for the last scene with my double as a crutch and then spent the next 6 hours in the emergency department and missed my last closing night ever. but it's alright because i ran into a bunch of the cast at maccas (i hadn't eaten for 12 hours at that point and i was starving) and got to spend some time with them and honestly they are all so sweet :')

but ya now i can't walk but at least i got to be onstage as my lead role ;)
