            Darya hummed in thought to his words.   « Ah, don’t worry about me.. I am not lonely. There are creatures called nymphs. They live here as well. They are.. my friends. »   At his next words, she couldn’t help a tiny laugh.   « You have not seen me outside of the water, human. I do not think you would not be afraid of me if you see me like that.. »

oh !  that’s  sad         (he  frowns)      so    [..]     you  must  be  pretty  lonely,  huh ?     i’m  not  afraid  of  you

            « I cannot leave the sea, as much I would love to. »   Darya smiled, almost sadly.   « I uh.. I would scare off the humans. It makes me sad, seeing them so frightened of me.. »

            « I will try to whisper then. »   Darya replied. She forgot how much sound travelled down here, how loud a regular sea dweller’s voice must sound to ears unaccustomed to it.   « So you cannot drown? Ah.. That is good to know. »   The nymph smiled softly.   « Oh, also.. My name is Darya. »

WOW  you’re  loud  down  here,      (he  gapes)           usually,  i  guess  i’m  supposed  to,  but  my  parents  said  i  was  born  like  this—  whatever  this  is—  so  i  guess  i  won’t  drown.   who  are  you,  by  the  way ?
